Metaphor

 METAPHOR

A metaphor is a figure of speech that is used to make a comparison between two things that aren't alike but do have something in common. Unlike a simile, where two things are compared directly using like or as, a metaphor's comparison is more indirect, usually made by stating something is something else.

Here is some examples

1:“throw the baby out with the bathwater

2:life is a box of chocolates

3: Life was a roller coaster

4:its raining tacos

5:My head was fake

Good Friday recount

on the night Jesus was praying with his friends.
suddenly Judas came with guards and they took Jesus to the leaders and they didn't believe Jesus and they sent him to be sent to death on the cross,he had to carry the cross to a hill known as skull.
he he was nailed to the cross, hands and feet.
He died the 3nd hour on the cross at 3 pm.
they killed Jesus because he said he was the son of god,and he was the savour of Man and they where mad at him.
God had planned for Jesus death a long time ago and Jesus new.
All if his friends felt sad but they didn't known he would rise and take the sins away from the world.

NZ Orchestra preformence! Peter and the Wolf

Last Week My class went to the NZOS/nz Orchestra Symphony.
They used Sounds of the orchestra to make the sounds of the characters and they all had there own theme, the music made the story well a story teller tells the story to everyone.
There was 6 characters,Peter,The Duck ,Birdy,Granddad,The Hunters and the Wolf.
The Wolf had a really strong, scary and dramatic Drums but the bird had a calm and soft flute song,i liked How they told the story with the music.
I felt calm most of the time.
